Oct 14th, Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced that Yueyang Chenglingji port has officailly became the first batch of the appointed port of importing grain. According to the introduction, Quality Inspection Administration had announced 《the Announcement about Regulating Measurements on the Appoint Port Importing Grain》,Published 58 lists appoint port of importing grain in nationwide.
As the introduction, the Chenglingji Port has been authorized 3 inspection points of importing grain, respectively are: Chenglingji Xingang Co., Ltd port inspection point, Chenglingji Port Group Ltd port inspection point, China Grains & Logistics Coproration Chenglingji port shed inspection point.
To prevent and reduce the potential risk of importing grain from alien species, improve safety inspection ability in the port, optimize resource allocation, and promote standardization,scientization and elaboration of the inspection and quarantine management in the port, the Quality Inspection Administration implement the regime of appoint port importing grain in the nationwide.
Hunan province is a big province of grain production,importing and comsumption. According to statictics from the Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, since this year, the import grain from Chenglingji port increase sharply, 1-9 month improt various kinds of grain and food processing products 62 thousands tons, 25,698,000 USD, increase separately year-on-year 7.7 times and 9.9 times; among these, newly increased rice, corn directly import business develops fater this year, total import 40 thousands tons, value 18,039,000 USD.
Since 2013, HuNan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau joint with other Yueyang, HuNan relative organizations and entreprises are promoting the construction of Chengliji appoint port of importing grain and perfecting the correlated conditons actively. At present, Chengliji port district has rationaly distributed load/unload, transport, storage, inspection, handling regions, and fit out the relative equipment and articles for use. Yueyang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has put into almost 400,000 Yuan to provide the equiment for importing grain, and joint with the Agricultural University Of Hunan to build the Port Plant Quarantine Laboratory; and also strengthening the personnel training, to enrich the port operational capability.
